These Terms are a contract between you and RISE Financial Wellness LLC. They explain what RISE is, what it costs, what you can and can't do with it, and what happens if something goes wrong.
RISE is a financial wellness tool — not a financial advisor. The guidance it provides is educational. Always use your own judgment and consult a professional for significant financial decisions.
We wrote this document to be read and understood. If anything is unclear, email us at support@risefinancialwellness.co and we will explain it in plain language.
We will never add hidden fees or change your subscription price without giving you at least 14 days advance notice.
We will never suspend or terminate your account without a valid reason and clear communication of what happened.
We will never require you to waive your legal rights as a condition of using RISE. You retain the right to seek legal recourse.
If we ever make changes to these Terms that disadvantage you, you will have the opportunity to delete your account and all your data before those changes take effect.
We will always be reachable. If you have a problem, email us. A real person reads every message.
RISE is a financial wellness tool designed to help you understand your spending, find money leaks, access government benefits you qualify for, build a savings buffer, and plan your paychecks.
RISE is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, credit counselor, or licensed financial professional. The information, suggestions, AI-generated guidance, and educational content provided by RISE are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
RISE can show you that you're paying $164/year for a forgotten subscription. It cannot tell you whether to invest that $164 in a specific stock or fund. For significant financial decisions, consult a qualified professional. RISE is the friend who helps you see your picture clearly — not the advisor who makes decisions for you.
RISE is not responsible for any financial outcomes resulting from decisions you make based on information in the app. You are in control of your money and your choices.
To use RISE, you must:
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements. If you are using RISE through a sponsored access program (funded by a church, employer, or nonprofit), these requirements still apply to you individually.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Keep your password safe and do not share your account with others.
You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating your account and to update it if it changes. RISE personalizes its features based on the information you provide — inaccurate information means less accurate guidance.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately at support@risefinancialwellness.co.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms. If we suspend your account, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond before any permanent action is taken, except in cases of illegal activity or serious harm to other users.
RISE Plus subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) via RevenueCat. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
How to cancel: Go to your device's subscription settings (iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). You can also contact us and we will help you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you won't be charged again, and you retain access until it ends.
The 30-day free trial begins when you create your account. No credit card is required to start the trial. If you choose to subscribe after the trial, billing begins only when you actively select a plan and complete checkout through Apple or Google. If you do nothing, no charge is made.
If we ever change subscription pricing, we will give you at least 30 days advance notice via email and an in-app notification before any change takes effect. You will have the opportunity to cancel before being charged at any new rate.
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies, since all billing goes through their platforms. If you believe you were charged in error or have a dispute, contact us — we will do everything we can to help resolve it, including advocating with Apple or Google on your behalf.
Connecting your bank account to RISE is entirely optional. You can use many features without ever linking a bank. Linking a bank account unlocks the Money Leak Scanner, Buffer Builder, and Paycheck Flow at their full capability.
If you choose to link a bank account, you do so through Plaid Technologies, Inc., a secure third-party service. By linking, you authorize Plaid to access your financial data on a read-only basis and share the relevant portions with RISE.
RISE can see your transactions and balances. RISE cannot move money, make payments, or take any action on your accounts. We see the picture — we can't touch the canvas.
RISE never receives, stores, or sees your bank login credentials — ever. Plaid handles the authentication and keeps your credentials entirely separate from RISE.
You can disconnect your bank accounts at any time from within app Settings. Disconnecting stops all future data collection from those accounts immediately.
Several features in RISE use artificial intelligence to generate personalized guidance. This includes the Benefits Finder, Benefits Application Guide, and financial wellness coaching content.
AI-generated content is a starting point, not a final answer. It is generated based on the information you provide and general knowledge of available programs and financial principles. It may not account for your complete situation, recent program changes, or individual circumstances that a human professional would understand.
We review and refine our AI features regularly to improve accuracy. If you receive guidance that seems wrong or doesn't match your situation, trust your judgment — and let us know so we can improve it.
RISE may recommend third-party products or services — such as high-yield savings accounts, lower-cost phone plans, or insurance products — when they could genuinely benefit you.
Affiliate disclosure: When RISE has an affiliate relationship with a recommended provider, we earn a small referral fee if you sign up. We will tell you clearly at the point of any such recommendation that an affiliate relationship exists.
We only recommend what we would genuinely recommend to a friend. A referral fee never determines what we recommend — only whether a product is actually good for you does. If a better option exists and we earn nothing from recommending it, we still recommend it. The filter is always: what is most beneficial to the woman using this app?
RISE is not responsible for the products, services, or practices of any third-party provider. Review their terms before signing up for anything.
RISE is built for the purpose stated in Section 1. You agree to use it for that purpose and not to:
Violations of acceptable use may result in account suspension. We will notify you of the reason before any permanent action, except in cases of illegal activity or serious security threats.
All content, design, code, features, copy, and proprietary concepts in RISE are owned by RISE Financial Wellness LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The RISE name, logo, and distinctive design elements are trademarks of RISE Financial Wellness LLC.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.
Your personal and financial data remains yours. RISE claims no ownership over the information you provide or connect. Using RISE does not transfer any rights in your data to RISE Financial Wellness LLC beyond what is needed to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy.
RISE works hard to be accurate, reliable, and genuinely useful. But if something goes wrong with the app — a bug, a feature that produces incorrect guidance, an outage — our legal responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the last year. This is standard practice for software services. It does not mean we won't take your concern seriously — it means there's a ceiling on formal legal liability. If something goes wrong, contact us first. We will do everything we can to make it right.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISE FINANCIAL WELLNESS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES, EVEN IF RISE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF RISE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. RISE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Nothing in this section limits RISE's liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
If you use RISE in a way that violates these Terms and it causes RISE legal or financial harm — such as a lawsuit from a third party because of something you did — you are responsible for that cost. This protects RISE from liability that arises from your actions, not from ours.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RISE Financial Wellness LLC, its officers, directors, and employees from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the app in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; or (c) any content you submit or upload through the app. RISE reserves the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense.
RISE does not require you to waive your right to go to court or to participate in a class action as a condition of using this app. You retain all legal rights available to you under applicable law. We believe in being held accountable — and in your right to accountability.
If you have a dispute with RISE, we ask that you contact us first at support@risefinancialwellness.co. Most concerns can be resolved in a conversation. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you are free to pursue any available legal remedy under the laws of the State of Wyoming or your state of residence.
You may delete your account at any time from within app Settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your subscription ends, your access ceases, and your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, particularly for illegal activity, attempted system access, or conduct that harms other users. If we suspend your account for any reason other than illegal activity or immediate security threats, we will notify you of the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond.
When your account is terminated or deleted, your right to use the app ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including Sections 9 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) — survive any termination.
RISE sends two types of communications:
Service communications: Account confirmations, security alerts, material policy changes, and account deletion confirmations. These are necessary to provide the service and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
Optional notifications: Bill reminders, subscription check-ins, weekly win summaries, and financial milestone alerts. These are entirely optional. You can control which notifications you receive in app Settings at any time. Turning off optional notifications never affects your ability to use any feature of RISE.
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes — changes that affect your rights, what RISE costs, how your data is used, or what you're agreeing to — we will:
If you do not agree with a material change, you may delete your account before the change takes effect. Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy and you will not be bound by the updated Terms.
Continued use of RISE after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Wyoming, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your state of residence provide for a different forum.
Nothing in this section prevents you from relying on any mandatory consumer protection provisions available to you under the laws of your own jurisdiction.
If you have any questions about these Terms, or if something isn't clear and you want it explained in plain language before you agree, contact us. We will respond promptly.
